Waterscapes & Open SpacesFrom the onset, we knew that we wanted to design Willow Creek to have minimal impact to the land while creating a functioning, master planned community. This meant that we had to take a look at the topography and select the right locations for roads and common open spaces. Our intent was to preserve, as much as possible, the rolling, natural aspect of the property while ensuring a breathing, living community that functions as home owners would expect. Our Involvement with Ducks UnlimitedTen Peaks Development Group has a rich history of being environmentally sensitive while preserving and creating habitats in its developments. Our team saw great opportunity to enhance wildlife habitats at Willow Creek. An environmental consultant was brought on board to help us work closely with Ducks Unlimited to design a system of ponds and creeks that would provide nesting and breeding grounds for various species of ducks, geese and other water fowl. By doing so we were able to reclaim former wetlands, enhance existing ponds and introduce lost vegetation that would create a living biohabitat. The end result is over 14 acres of integrated, flowing ponds that serve as the central features for Willow Creek.
